its a hard knock life… lately
I know its been a long long long time since we’ve been blogging. our mama has been going though hard times trying to find new work, going on lotsa interviews but none have panned out. now it’s the end of the year and the lease on our townhouse ends SOON. no job. no townhouse. uck
my parents have graciously invited me to move home and live with them. I can deal with a bruised ego, and I am grateful for their generosity.
I’ve also experienced a sporadic loss of vision in both eyes along with seeing ’spots’ that come and go thought the day. yesterday, I went to an eye doctor. He determined that both of my optic nerves are swollen, and immediately scheduled me for an MRI. Tomorrow, the Dr will explain what they found.
I hope it isnt anything serious. but I’m really scared that it could be.
have you had a similar experience?

We’re glad to hear from you again, even if the news isn’t wonderful. Even though there’s a lot you can’t control, one thing you can do is to learn as much as you can about this condition — knowing the facts helps keep the mind from going into worst-case fears, where it doesn’t belong.
And don’t be afraid to get a 2nd opinion if the first one is alarming. Pat’s sister was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer, which is a virtual death sentence. Then she went to Sloan-Kettering in NYC, where she was correctly diagnosed with cervical cancer — much more treatable. Just remember that it’s possible that a diagnosis may be wrong.
Good luck, and let us know what you find out. All our best to Katie and Mea. Thanks also for leaving a comment on Kelly’s anniversary. It’d be nice to think of Icon and Kelly watching over us.
I’m sorry to hear about all your news. I’ve been looking for a job too. It’s a tough economy. We hope 2010 gets better for you. We also hope that there is nothing serious with your eyes. My sister had spots in her eyes too. When she went to the eye doctor they saw that she had part of her retina had some loose tissue. Not sure if that is right, but it wasn’t serious.
Hope yours isn’t.
I’m sorry you are going through a rough patch. Our Daddeh is finally starting his new job next week, so hang in there, it will get better! I hope your eyes are all better soon, too.
Sorry to hear about your eyes. Haven’t heard of anything similar, but getting a second opinion is always good advice. Hope the job situation resolves soon, but we’re glad that you have a safe place to go with the cats if you have to give up your townhouse.

Sorry to hear about your eyes. Did your doctor ever discover the underlining cause?
We wish you a healthier and happier new year 2010!
Oh my! Sorry we haven’t visited in a long time. May you find healing and happiness in the new year to come! Sometimes in the worst of times we discover little hidden joys that pop out when we least suspect. Katie and Mea sometimes it helps our human mom’s to purr real close to their ears at night and curl up next to them. Take care all of you and blog when you can.
Purrs,
Shilgiah, Tommy, Hope and our human mom.
