farewell, sweet prince
Icon crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday, December 26 at approximately 7 pm in the care of his Vet. His condition was misdiagnosed on Tuesday. On Wednesday he went back to the Vet’s and was admitted to the hospital for observation — his health continued to rapidly decline.
On Wednesday paralysis started in his lumbar spine, and by Friday he lost almost all vision and had labored breathing. Icon had a neurological problem from which he could not recover.
Goodbye my love. I miss you already.

Oh no, I am so very sorry that Icon had to go to the Bridge. He was such a wonderful cat, I know he will be dearly missed. I know Pixie will be at the Bridge waiting to welcome him and give him soft sandpaper-y kisses.

My condolences. Although I have been cat blogging for almost eight months, I only recently discovered the Cat Blogosphere and so never really got to know Icon.
I do know that he was wonderful, though. He was a cat. Therefore, he was wonderful.
You loved him and that too was wonderful, but the pain does not feel wonderful right now. The memories are, though, and will be for as long as they dwell in your mind and heart.
I believe they are there permanently.
