why is it called “hump day”?

I dunno why my mama calls Wednesday by a silly-billy name: hump-day…? maybe she means it is whisker-hump appreshion day? Or maybe it is suppossed to be “thump-day” and I can push all of the things off the tables to see which has the loudest THUMP!!

or maybe i’ll just sit back an watch katie do the pushing-off-the-table while i have a nice bath and a nap.

Hahaha, oh yeah, buddy, that’s an oldie-but-goodie Far Side! I showed it to Momma and she said that’s why she avoided math, too.
