Thankful Thursday
Thankful Thursday
Earlier this week I told you all about my (very bad) habit of peeing on the floor. I am very thankful for all of the nice comments about it!!
Seriously!
I feel better knowing that I’m not alone in my litter box mishaps, and some of the suggestions are very good ideas!
Lately, every time I make my way to the closet that keeps my litter box, my mama jumps up and creeps over to spy on me – just to be sure that I have all four paws in. The only problem now is that there is a very faint odor that won’t go away. I may have pee’d on something else in there, but I’m not telling where. It’s fun to watch my mama try to operate the mimi-steam-vac.

I can just see your mama sniffing and sniffing to find where the spot is! Seriously, I hope your feetsies stay in the box!
One of us just threw up (after eating) everywhere, but we’re not telling which one!
Oh gosh Icon. There are some very good neutralizing cleaners at the Petsmart that are excellent for removing all smells of, um, peepee.
Caesar used to like to pee on the carpets.
Looking back… mom thinks it was most likely early signs of his kidney disease.
Keep using the boxie Icon.
Icon’s mom, maybe get a feliway diffuser and put it near the litter boxie

Adding my 2 cents: before the humans learned to please finicky Caitie, they bought Nature’s Miracle For Cats liquid, and lots of it.
Just remember your human loves you regardless and don’t feel too guilty. That said, it’d make her mighty happy if you used the box…
Playing tricks like that on the beans is a great way to entertain yourself!
I second what Kelly Cat said about Nature’s Miracle. Also, they sell a black light and any places where you have missed will flouresce–but you need to have the lights down when you go looking (it will also show up old spots of hacked up hairballs if there is any liquid that seeped into the carpet, but you’ll learn the difference). This will help get the spots.
Remember with Nature’s Miracle to really soak it and then put wet towels over the top like they say. You’ll need to wash those in the same stuff over and over again, so don’t use your good linens.
Since Pixie is on Lasix and pees all the time (sometimes on the tiles outside the litterbox), my Mommie carries her to the litterbox every 3-4 hours or so and sets her in there. She immediately squats and goes potty!
